Crossword Light App Reviews

I downloaded this app about a week ago. Its fun and easy to use--when it is working properly. On several occasions the app will suddenly jump to a different puzzle and freeze up. I have deleted and reloaded it twice--in less than a weeks time--but not again. Thats too bad. Its fun when it works.

Great app. Good collection of puzzles.

I love that I can pick the difficulty of the puzzles and there are all kinds of little tools to help you if you get stuck. I can usually finish the puzzle in about 30 minutes and I do this each night right before I go to sleep. If you like crosswords get this app!

I use an external keyboard on this app, and the latest updates have rendered it useless. I toggle back and forth between list and page view, and it doesnt really work. Im hoping this is something that gets addressed soon as Im really not interested in using the app if I cant use my keyboard. Up until this recent development, I loved it.

Good puzzles for a daily brain warmup.

Like it. Perfect for cross wording with one eye and watching TV with the other - while chatting with the spouse...

Great puzzles. Not too hard but definitely not easy.

Worked fine for three puzzles. Now it wont let me switch puzzles and gave me the wrong clues for the puzzle I was on.

Have been doing puzzles since I could read. So much easier than finding a pen or having a bunch of paper to get rid of.

I tried a lot of Crossword Apps and without a doubt, this one is TOPNOTCH! I really enjoy the humor in the clues!

On a brand new phone this app still constantly freezes and crashes. And this is for the paid version. What a waste of money.

I like this, but get frustrated when it just stops for no apparent reason. I dont know that Id pay for it again.

Not too easy, just right difficulty. No "glitches" encountered. Just finished the last of the starter set. I wish there were descriptions of the in-app purchases to assist in which to buy, now that Im ready for more!

I like it. Not too hard/easy. Wish I could show errors as I solve. But really good regardless.

Crosswords were a challenge, but mainly due to 4 reasons: (1) too many misspelled words - obviously to make them fit in the puzzle; (2) too many references to obscure "who cares?" "facts"; (3) too many cases of multiple words with no indication that the answer was other than one word; (4) too many made up words. Other than that, thoroughly mediocre puzzles.

Ive been looking for a decent crossword and this is it. Ive tried most of the others this is by far the best.

The app continuously freezes on my phone and iPad. I have to delete and reinstall then skip the puzzles Ive done. Ive rebooted and some times it works but not usually so I stopped trying. Hardly ever use it now.

This is great. I love crosswords and this is easy to take everywhere with me.
